On the afternoon of April 14, 2025, the conference, themed “Leveraging Platforms to Drive Industrial Development, Intelligent Manufacturing in the Deep Sea”, was grandly held in Haikou.

It attracted approximately 300 representatives from renowned domestic and international enterprises, business associations, research institutions and provincial departments. 23 key deep-sea projects were signed on-site, with a total investment exceeding 11.7 billion yuan, marking Hainan Free Trade Port’s deep-sea industry entering a new phase of international cooperation.

Li Zhichao,theDean of Nanhai Institute of HEU, attended as a representative of scientific research institutions and deliveredthe work report on the industrial chain layout for underwater sensors and marine unmanned equipment by the Deep-sea Unmanned Equipment Industry Alliance.

This event showcased Hainan’s commitment to open cooperation in the deep-sea sector. As key projects take root and international collaboration deepens, Hainan is quickly becoming a global hub for the deep-sea economy, injecting robust momentum into the high-quality development of the“blue economy”.
