The collaborative innovation lab for full-chain intellectualization of cruise ship contains the cruise ship intelligent service experiment area, cruise ship data centre and cruise ship intelligent digital twin experiment area, with a planning area of 720 square meters for the first phase of laboratory construction. The laboratory will cover various business stages such as cruise ship collaborative design, manufacturing, turnkey project management, interior engineering, shipboard service, operation and maintenance, carry out research and development, experimental verification, talent training, military and civilian integration and industrial application of collaborative integration platforms for full-chain intellectualization of cruise ships. To break through the cruise ship intelligent manufacturing technology, interior digital twins technology, shipboard intelligent service technology, intelligent operation and maintenance technology and intelligent logistics technology for cruise ship supply, and promote the synergistic innovation between the research of universities and the industry demand.

The establishment of the laboratory will improve the comprehensive strength and influence of Nanhai Institute of Harbin Engineering University, contributing to the development of deep-sea industry of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City. It has great significance in building a first-class research experiment platform for the integration of industry and education, promoting the transformation of scientific research achievements of universities and developing the cruise industry in Hainan Province.
