From Sep 16 to 19, Chinese premier Li Qiang addressed the opening ceremony of the 20th China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, the capital of south China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The “Wukong” unmanned submersible developed by HEU and the “Fendouzhe(Striver)” deep sea manned submersible of the Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering, CAS represented Hainan to appear in the advanced technology exhibition of the 20th China-ASEAN Expo, which attracted much attention.
The “Wukong” unmanned submersible has dived to the bottom of the world's deepest Mariana Trench many times, setting a world record for AUV deep submerged distance. The "Wukong" unmanned submersible solves the key equipment bottlenecks faced by the future development of deep-sea AUV projects, and can play an important role in seabed exploration, underwater rescue, seabed salvage, and marine scientific research. The equipment exhibited at the exposition also includes the data collaboration equipment of cross-border trade facilitation services based on the data business network, which can realise the cross-domain trustworthy transmission of trade clearance data between the customs, border inspection and other management departments, realise the collaborative exchange of data and improve the efficiency of collaboration.
As a permanent thematic exhibition of the Expo, it has been held for 19 consecutive sessions, and has developed into an influential international professional exhibition, which is an important stage and window for businessmen from China and ASEAN to understand China's scientific and technological development, carry out co-operation and exchanges, look for technological co-operation, and obtain business opportunities.
