Recently, Professor Wang Gang, the postgraduate supervisor of the Hainan Special Project of Nanhai Institute of HEU, led his student team to publish the latest research results on agile underwater robots for near-seabed observation in the internationally authoritative journal“Nature Communications” under the title of“A Maneuverable Underwater Vehicle for Near-seabed Observation”. This robot has overcome the bottleneck that traditional underwater robots are easily interfered by sediment disturbance when conducting near-seabed observations, enabling the observation distance of the near-seabed environment to reach the centimeter level. Wang Gang is the sole corresponding author of the paper, Dr. Liu Kaixin, a postgraduate of the Hainan Special Project, is one of the co-first authors.
“Nature Communications”, founded in 2010, is a comprehensive scientific publication under Nature that covers all academic fields. The journal focuses on influential research results in various scientific fields and is highly recognized by scholars both at home and abroad. It is a top journal in Zone 1 of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
