Nanhai Institute's 2023 summer camp was held successfully from July 3 to 7. The opening ceremony was hosted by Zhou Xiaoya, the director of the dducation cooperation and promotion department of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration Bureau, Li Zhichao, executive deputy dean of Nanhai Institute of Harbin Engineering University, the faculty members of Nanhai Institute of Harbin Engineering University, and the 31 outstanding students from universities all over the country attended the opening ceremony together.

Li Zhichao extended a sincere welcome to the outstanding participants of the summer camp. He briefly introduced the founding history and the situation about how Nanhai Institute runs. He wishes that the students take the opportunity to learn efficiently, actively and independently in this summer camp. At the same time, he hoped that the students could make full use of the time to improve mutual understanding and show their real selves.

Afterwards, Zhou Xiaoya expressed her warm welcome to the participants of the summer camp. She pointed out that Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City has always adhered to the global vision, in line with the era of China's higher education, adhere to the deep integration between industries, universities, and research institutes, and constantly attracting more talents. In the future, we will provide high-level scientific research platforms, advanced experimental conditions and strong team support, and set up a broader stage for the practice and innovation of outstanding young scholars.

After the opening ceremony, various activities were carried out, such as lectures, fun games and a visit of Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City.
