2023 The Second Yazhou International Young Scholars Forum was held in Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City on August 24. More than 300 young scholars from more than 20 countries are attracted to register for the conference. The forum was consisted of one main forum and one sub-forum, which was synchronised oneline and offline. The declaration of talent policy, the sharing of research reports and the interview with the representatives of young scholars and other sessions were set in the main forum. Deputy secretary-general of The People's Government of Sanya City, Zhang Lei, the deputy chief of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration Bureau, Ge Ruiming, the academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yu Jingquan and the academician of German National Academy of Sciences, Stefan Schwartz attended the forum and made speeches, and the executive deputy dean of Nanhai Institute, Li Zhichao hosted the main forum.
In the sub-forum, the young scholars made a deeply communication with universities. Nanhai Institute introducted the construction of research platforms, talent cultivation and talents squad construction. Prof. Li Jinghua and Prof. Wang Yuanhui introduced the direction of research fields and the needs of talents. Young scholars introduced their own study and work experiences, research achievements and the development plan. Both sides communicated and shared their research achievements. Some of the young scholars reached a preliminary cooperation intention with the research team on the spot.
